How We Rank Tire Pyrolysis Companies

Every ranking is an argument. This page lays out the arguments, so you can judge the judge.

Most "top pyrolysis companies" lists are copy-pasted marketing that verify nothing. This one is different. Every placement above is the conclusion of a fixed process — five weighted criteria, assessed strictly against the public record, with the source named at every step. Where a company's claim cannot be confirmed against a primary source, we say so rather than repeat it. Where the record contradicts a company's own account, the record governs.

The five criteria

Each company is assessed against the same five tests. They are deliberately weighted toward things that cannot be faked by a press release.

I
Commercial proof

Does an operating plant exist, and is there a published financial result? This is the heaviest-weighted criterion, because a running, revenue-generating facility is the one claim a slide deck cannot fabricate.

II
Technology ownership & IP

Who actually owns the process a plant runs? We weigh patents, assignments, and — where they exist — court records that resolve a dispute over that ownership. An operator running licensed technology is ranked differently from the party that owns and licenses the technology.

III
Deployment reach

How does the technology actually get to market — build-own-operate, licensing, engineering partnerships? A global licensing channel signals repeatability that a single plant does not.

IV
Product certification

The recovered carbon black and pyrolysis oil must meet published specifications. We weigh REACH registration, ISCC certification, and ASTM D36 (recovered carbon black) conformance.

V
Financial independence

Is the venture self-sustaining, or dependent on subsidies and repeated capital raises? A plant funded from its own cash flow is a stronger proof than one that has never closed a self-funded expansion.

Source discipline

We cite, footnote-style, the primary source behind every claim. The source classes we draw from, in order of weight:

On uneven profile depth

Some profiles are denser than others. That is a reflection of the public record, not of favour. A company whose claims are backed by court rulings, patent numbers, exchange filings and announced partnerships can be written about at length because those claims can be verified. A company that discloses little can only be written about thinly — and where the record is silent, the profile says so outright: financial results unpublished, scale unverified, verification pending.

In this field, depth is itself a finding. The company with the most court-tested, publicly-audited evidence is usually also the one best able to prove it operates — which is why a profile's depth and a ranking's strength tend to move together.

Who runs this desk

Tire Pyrolysis Intelligence is an industry-research desk publishing citation-backed analysis of the recovered-carbon and tire-pyrolysis market. Rankings are produced from the public record, and are not available for purchase.

We publish free, citation-backed rankings because the tire-pyrolysis market is under-served by real analysis: the field is dominated by unnamed, unverified "market size" pages and by trade-show slide decks that are never scrutinized after the lights go down. Our revenue comes from the custom research reports we prepare for investors, tire manufacturers and plant developers who want the underlying data and assessment specific to their region, feedstock or application.

Request custom research: if you need the market sizing, competitive landscape or feedstock economics for a specific region or application, contact the TPI desk. We prepare bespoke, source-cited reports — the same discipline as these rankings, applied to your question.

Corrections

We correct errors when they are shown to us, with a primary source. If a fact on these pages is wrong, tell us and it will be fixed or the source will be published.
